Description

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires employers with 15 or more employees to provide qualified individuals with disabilities an equal opportunity to benefit from the full range of employment-related opportunities and prohibits discrimination based on disability. While appearing simple in it’s requirements, the ADA is often a struggle for managers and HR professionals when it comes to it’s application in real life scenarios. The ADA covers all aspects of the employment life cycle (hiring, training, promotions, discipline, compensation, etc.), which provides a multitude of opportunities to get it wrong. Let us help you get it right.

This webinar will take an in-depth look at the basic requirements of the ADA (What is a disability? Who is a qualified individual? What is a reasonable accommodation? How do you engage in the interactive process? What can you ask someone with a disability and when?) and discuss real-life scenarios faced by employers to assist managers, company leadership, and HR professionals understand their obligations, recognize when there is a potentially ADA-qualifying situation, and how to avoid the legal risks that come with not doing it correctly.
