Description

Each year on July 1, the new minimum wage goes into effect. For the last several years, the minimum wage has remained unchanged. However, that changed with the 2019 Legislative Session.

Minimum wage wasn’t the only wage and hour issue affected by the 2019 Legislative Session — we saw new paid time off requirements, updates to what is considered qualifying health benefits for minimum wage, more guidance on employee misclassification, prohibitions on requiring employees to report to work to take sick time, and more.

With everything that has been going on in the world, many of these new laws (and those that were in place before the 2019 Legislative Session) may be the farthest thing from your mind, but are still requirements that are being enforced.

Join NAE and Labor Commissioner, Shannon Chambers, for an update on all things wage and hour.
